Having spent over three decades in country music, Tim McGraw made a name for himself thanks to hit songs like “My Best Friend”, “Don’t Take the Girl”, and “Cowboy Lullaby.” And if that wasn’t enough, he even showcased his acting abilities in several films, including Four Christmases. Among his list of accomplishments, the country star also married another country legend, Faith Hill. While having more than enough to celebrate, the singer recently entertained a crowd in Nashville when he decided to perform Elton John’s classic “Tiny Dancer.”
For any fan who attended a McGraw concert, they tend to know the type of music the singer liked to perform. Having grown up in Louisiana, the country aspect of McGraw is more than a persona for the stage. But when taking the stage at the Bridgestone Arena, the singer not only treated fans to his own discography, but decided to throw in a little Elton John too. And thankfully, there were more than enough cameras to catch the moment.
Fans both at the concert and online loved to watch McGraw jump to other genres of music. “When I’m having a bad day, I come back to this clip and it completely cracks me up.” Another fan added, “This man is so humble and so loving. He speaks so highly of his wife and daughters. God Bless this man.”
Tim McGraw Loves Giving Autographs
Although McGraw gained a massive fanbase of the years, the singer loved spending time with them and never minded being asked for an autograph. Speaking with Nancy Brooks from KCYE-FM, he explained how he grew up in Louisiana. “Growing up in Louisiana, I roofed a lot. When you’re having dinner or something, and somebody comes up for an autograph, and they always say, ‘Well, I bet you’re tired of doing this,’ or ‘I bet you hate doing this,’ or ‘This gets old.’”
While McGraw, like anybody else, wanted to simply enjoy his dinner, he never turned down an autograph. And the reason, “I’m like, ‘Look, it’s better than roofing.’ That’s usually my comeback.”
Growing from roofer to top country music star, McGraw continues to carve his own place in the genre as he released his latest album back in 2023 with Standing Room Only.
