Elon Musk has given an interview where he claimed that he and Tesla have never done anything “harmful”, amid a series of attacks on vehicles and Tesla factories.
Dozens of attacks on property carrying the logo of Elon Musk’s electric-car company are cropping up across the US and overseas, which comes at the same time as Tesla’s stock plumetting – something which Tim Walz recently celebrated.
Appearing on Fox News, Musk was asked why the “left” are doing such a thing, which comes amid cars being set on fire with Molotov cocktails and a man set fire to himself outside a charging station.
He said: “It’s come as a shock to me. This level of hatred and violence from the left… I thought the Democrats were supposed to be the party of empathy and caring, yet they’re the ones firing bullets.”
“Tesla is a peaceful company, we’ve never done anything harmful. I’ve never done anything harmful, I’ve only done productive things. I think we have a deranged mental illness thing going on here because this doesn’t make any sense.”

This comes as Tesla’s market dominance is showing signs of erosion, despite being one of the biggest vehicle manufacturers in the world. In the second quarter, its share of new EV sales dropped below 50 per cent for the first time, according to Cox Automotive.

On top of that, the company’s stock has declined 19.5 per cent this year, likely due to Elon Musk’s controversial stances and actions.
“The Department of Justice has already charged several perpetrators with that in mind, including in cases that involve charges with five-year mandatory minimum sentences. We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi recently released a statement explaining the punishment for these Tesla attacks. She said: “The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism.”
